Reportedly,
Bruce Pigg, 40, of Arley had been assaulted but when law enforcement officers
arrived on the scene, they found evidence of an assault but no one at the scene.
Found nearby was a stick wrapped in camouflage tape that is suspected to be the assault
weapon.
Bruce Pigg was found dead Tuesday at 1 PM at Clear Creek Campground
on Smith Lake. He had apparently died as a result of the assault.
Two
suspects, James M. Brannon, 25 of Cullman and Brannon J. Garrett, 23 of Addison
were arrested in Cullman and are currently in the Winston County Jail charged
with murder. A preliminary hearing and setting of a bond will occur this week.
The Winston County Sheriff’s office is investigating. |
